Presently akp are delivering the multi million pound refurbishment of 80 George Street. This is a project of special interest as it will be the only major office refurbishment to complete in Edinburgh this year; helping the city address its shortage of Grade A space. As part of the project akp have registered the site under the Considerate Constructors  Scheme https://www.ccscheme.org.uk/.

The Considerate Constructors Scheme is a non-profit-making, independent organisation founded in 1997 by the construction industry to improve its image.

During the project akp are delivering a number of initiatives including:

• Health & Wellbeing Initiatives.
• Work Shadowing / Career Engagement Activities.

One of the Health & Wellbeing initiatives we have organised is linked to the Edinburgh Fringe Comedy Festival and is along the vein of laughter being a good source of stress relief, etc.

The akp staff canteen will be hosting a number of young, up and coming comedians for 10 min slots throughout August.

A good opportunity for the comedians to trial out material, sell tickets for their full shows and also for akp operatives to laugh and relax.

akp are the ONLY Construction Company supporting their staff and operatives health & wellbeing by arranging comedy as a source of stress relief.
